Tomatoes

Sow in Spring - Summer. Into pots first, cover seed with 5mm of soil. At 5cm growth, transplant to garden. Space 50cm apart. Likes a sunny spot with well drained soil. 

Carrots

Sow in Autumn - Spring. Directly into the garden, in rows. Make rows around 30cm apart. Cover seed with 5mm of soil. Likes a sunny spot with well drained soil. Keep moist. Ready for harvest when they reach around 20cm in length. 

Capsicum

Sow in Spring - Summer. Into pots first, cover seed with 5mm of soil. At 5cm growth, transplant to garden. Space plants 40cm apart. Likes well drained soil in a sunny spot. Ready for harvest when they reach around 10cm.

Lettuce

Sow in Autumn - Spring. Directly into the garden, cover seeds very lightly with soil, space around 30cm apart. Likes well drained soil and a sunny spot. Ready for harvest when mature (around 60 days) 

Spinach

Sow in Autumn - Spring. Into pots or the garden, 2 to 3 seeds 1cm deep, plant around 25cm apart. Likes full sun in cooler months and part-sun in warmer months. Ready for harvest around 4 weeks.

Broccoli 

Sow all year round! Into pots first, cover seed with 5mm of soil. At 5cm growth, transplant to garden. Space 40cm apart. Likes a sunny spot, regular watering & well drained soil. Ready for harvesting around 60 days, before they start to flower. 

Cucumber

Sow in Spring - Autumn. Directly into the garden, cover seed with 1cm of soil. Space seeds 40cm apart. Likes a sunny spot. Ready for harvesting when 15cm - 20cm long. 

Celery 

Sow in Autumn - Spring. Into pots first, cover seed very lightly with soil. At 4cm growth, transplant to garden. Space plants 30cm apart. Likes well watered soil in a partly sun/shade spot. Ready to harvest once they reach around 60cm in height. 

Eggplant

Sow in Spring - Summer. Plant in small pots and cover seed with 5mm of soil. At 6cm growth, transplant into garden. Space plants 60cm apart. Likes a sunny spot in well drained soil. Ready for harvest around 16cm long, and skin is deep purple and glossy. These plants benefit from stakes to help support their heavy load. 

Zucchini 

Sow in Spring - Summer. Plant seeds direct in garden and cover with 1cm of soil. Space plants 80cm apart. Likes full sun. Ready for harvest when mature at 50 days.
